Silica nanoparticles made by ANRLab members!!!

Thanks to the generosity of the Chemistry Department here at NIU and the guidance of Prof. Klumpp also in the Chemistry Department, graduate student Sasanka Garapati and undergraduate student Kyle Unto synthesized silica nanoparticles in the new laboratory space for the ANR Lab in Faraday Hall. These nanoparticles were synthesized using the sol-gel method and will be characterized for particle size distribution, specific heat capacity, and both surface and subsurface chemical composition. Congrats to Sasanka and Kyle!!!
